with furoscix, you can bring down uncontrolled fluid buildup

Sometimes you may experience fluid buildup symptoms from heart failure or chronic kidney disease (CKD) even though you are taking your daily oral diuretic (water pill). During these times, your care team may prescribe FUROSCIX to help you reduce your fluid levels and return to taking your daily diuretic.

What is Furoscix?

FUROSCIX is a subcutaneous (delivered under your skin), at-home treatment for fluid buildup from heart failure or CKD. It is not meant for every day use or to replace your daily oral diuretic.

FUROSCIX has been shown to work just as well as an intravenous (IV) diuretic in suitable patients but was designed for use in the comfort of home. It is easy to use with or without help from a caregiver.

How is FUROSCIX different?

FUROSCIX is not taken by mouth like your daily diuretic. It is delivered just under your skin through a single-use device worn on your body. This allows FUROSCIX to quickly enter your bloodstream to bring down your fluid levels. After taking FUROSCIX, your care team will put you back on your everyday oral diuretic as soon as possible

FUROSCIX can cause you to lose excess water and electrolytes. Symptoms of excess water and electrolyte loss include dry mouth, increased thirst, muscle pains or cramps, decreased urine output or urine more yellow than normal, headache, dry skin, nausea, or vomiting. Your care team may check your electrolytes while you are receiving FUROSCIX.
